More than 20 years ago, on an anniversary dinner, I said something I now regret. We went to a nice restaurant, paid our bill and left. On the way home my wife got sick. After pulling the car over, and her making judicious use of the window, I said, “Well,there’s $40.00 down the drain.” I’m still reminded of that night from time to time, and how sensitive I can be.
