@Plods: consonants, which are made with the tongue against the teeth, are higher pitched than vowels, which are made in the throat. With hearing loss, you lose the highest frequencies first and then on down—so you can hear someone speak but you can’t figure out what they’re saying because of the missing consonants. Hearing aids will bring back the high pitches back. I’ve worn them since my 20’s and can’t imagine life without them. They’re worth the effort of getting used to and every penny of the price. Good luck!

Trout’s right—the old Dylan isn’t done being him yet. Still, 1960’s style folk is better music than most that Agnes singles out.

It depends on which “old one” you are talking about. Dylan has had several incarnations.

Unfortunately, he isn’t and with my hearing loss, now I can’t understand a single word he says. I used to be able to pick out a word here and there.

I’d welcome a resurgence of even early ’60s-style music, but Agnes is not the girl for the job. All she ever succeeds at is amusing us.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the second panel. Exactly what I think about music nowadays.
Where does Agnes get the banjo?

Agnes definitely has pinned down today’s music. Let’s bring back 60’s music and Woodstock!

In other words, Dylan’s not through being Dylan yet?

Maybe she can take A Bridge Over Troubled Water to get to her Dylan side. (I know, the 70’s – but someone already took Blowin’ in the Wind)
