Just like Krazy & Ignatz!

Why is the English language version of M&J different than Benitin y Eneas en espanol?

This would be 1952, since the strip was started in 1907. The throwing of the brick in the last panel is reminiscent of the famed cartoonist George Herrimen’s “Krazy Kat”, Officer Pup tried but failed to prevent “Ignatz” the mouse from beaning poor “Krazy” with a brick.

This strip will probably still be running “A Hundred Years From Today”#3.

Ah, Mutt, if only you knew how different life in a comic strip would be in the next 50 years and more. Wait till you see this one printed so tiny you can’t read it without an electron microscope. Nobody has that amount of space to work with anymore.

Hey. i just thought of something. How about GoComics bringing back some ot the old Krazy Kat strips? ( They brought back Skippy after all. )

Nice to be able to figure out the date of this strip.

Don’t worry, like everything else we have now, that brick was made in China—it burst on impact. Course it may be poison.

And I love too the way Jeff’s dickey bow flies off in panel 5.

It is great to see that a cartoon started over a century ago still makes us laugh. Even with the changes.
