Tirasmol: Not really. Adders are neurotoxic. Puff adders, more commonly nowadays, hog-nose snakes, are non-poisonous constrictors. Their puffing more closely resembles a cobra’s hood. If that bluff doesn’t work, they roll over and play dad; a poor act because if you roll them right-side-up, they will roll back over again because that is the position a dead snake should be in. A very valuable rodent control despite poor acting ability.
