Yes, I did indeed get interviewed and it posted late Thursday afternoon. You can get to the interview from my blog too!

‘20 Questions with Justin Thompson’, just about whatever you need to know about the strip, how it came about, and what’s up with its creator???
Congratulations, Justin! And here’s my response to something you wrote in that interview:
I wish I could work like that, but I just have to wait until ideas come to me then filter out all of the puns. Readers don’t like puns. They’ve let me know.
“Bad puns” I may ironically (and humorously) call them, but they light up _my_ day!
If they had used a faux fir rather than cutting a poor little tree down in its youth then they could have gotten Karma to help them. I’m sure she would be good at enlightenment.
This comic, the one above actually happened verbatim. My wife was under the tree like Boody there, I was standing beside the tree, and we couldn’t get the middle strand of lights lit; The top and bottom strands were lit up real nice but the middle ones remained dim and Kim was trying to figure out what got plugged into what. I was Merlin there, delivering the wise cracks. That’s about the extent of my technical savvy around the house.
So anyway, after that went down I went up to my room and wrote the comic down.
So this comic is a true story.
Maybe I’m putting too much thought into this. But to me it looks like Boody is trying to plug a candle into a row of lights. Could that be part of his troubles?
Nice story Justin. I love how you have Boody actually sitting up within the tree, nice trick!

Thanks for the link Justin. I’ll check it out. Anyways! Perhaps they need another extension cord.

Justin: I love puns as well. The Xanth books are a prime breeding ground for them.
Almost forgot to add: I think I have that Christmas tree. I finally gave up and used an extension cord to get the middle and bottom lights going.

I believe the word ‘paranomasia’ describes the ART of making puns.
