Petey: This Little Neuro books is the best Christmas present I ever got! This is the best page. This is the best panel. And this Little bit in the corner... is the best bit in the whole book! AAAAHHH! I could look at that bit all day! Alice: He seemed so happy about it, I almost forgot my lifetime commitment to illiteracy. Beni: Be strong, Alice! Be strong!

Oh come on Alice. If you keep up this commitment, you’ll never discover the joy of comics. Of course I think Pete is taking it to extremes.

The 6th panel is my favorite panel in this strip! Not sure what my favorite “little bit” is though – maybe some of that grass in the last panel – the texture looks pretty cool!

Stick with that commitment, Alice – someday, it might make you governor of Alaska!

Anyone else notice Alice’s doll’s head falling off?

Petey likes the ghost child barely visible in the “best bit in the whole book”. Maybe it reminds him of Viola?
Meta Rhetorical Question: I don’t know what the point of newspapers are if I have to come online to find the beautiful subtleties of the comics…

There *is* a ghost child in that corner! Almost invisible in the newspaper version!

I’m just happy to see Petey having some unalloyed joy.

For being completely illiterate, Alice actually tends to exercise a rather extensive vocabulary…

That “best bit” doesn’t require literacy, but it must take a lot of imagination to appreciate.
