Wow!I just went to John’s website and saw the news. I’m quite sad. I discovered this strip on the old comics.com siteHowever, I must emphasise that John does not “owe” us a strip, he’s been doing it as a kindness for us.It’s ironic as it is one of the highest rating strips on gocomics. Perhaps if a few more of us signed up on this site as “Pro” …Anyway, I just want to thank John for his efforts and the way he could make us laugh (and even cry) at his [proxy] life. All the best and every happiness.Otto
I’m so sad that the strip ended. I want to know about Annie, not Frankie. I wish it would’ve ended on a different note since it had to end but I wish you lots of luck.
That’s just GREAT!! Ican understand the reason for the demise of Cul Du Sac, but this comic?! UNEXCEPTIBLE!!Now I have to seacrh again for another strip about a working class female. This strip was the replacement for Cathy another strip a working class female. And you know how we loathe repeats, so the search is on (again) for another one. I just commemorated one comic (Dick Tracy) for its rise from obscurity and I’m condeming another for its sudden nstant obscurity! (The Meaning Of Lila)

PLEASE don’t leave us with no resolution on sick Annie. At least do a text summary or something.

John,I know what it’s like to have ‘People living in your head.’ They WILL have their say, eventually. Once they’re ‘Alive’ they can’t be stopped.
Good luck in ‘retiring’ them, but I’ve got a feeling they’ll be back.
All the best!

I know it’s an old hackneyed phrase John, but when one door closes, another opens. Good luck going forward!!!

That’s two “Annie” stories that are in a possible permanent cliffhanger. This and “Little Orphan Annie”
