I had that happen. Had some dental work done back in the military. Not with my consent. They went to remove impacted wisdom teeth. I woke up with all my back teeth top and bottom drilled out and filled with metal. Experiment by the military to prevent cavities in soldiers back teeth due to combat conditions and poor dental care. I was in Alaska what combat. Years later the fillings began to break the bottom teeth. Two broke clean off the sides down to the gums. Talk about pain.I went in and they gave me the same answer. Come back later and take these pills to help stop the infection. I demanded they just pull the damn things. We went back and forth finally the dentist said okay but I dont agree with it. I said damn your disagrement and pull them. The first one good. The second one (hardest one) pain killer wore off just as she began. She apologized for hurting me I could only grip the chair as tears flowed. She finally got done and the pain I was in now was no where near as bad as the pain before which was what I was trying to tell her.So missing two back teeth not an issue. Free of pain.
