but it’s the weekend, so we already knew it wouldn’t be.

I asked my mother pretty much the same question, when I was a kid….

We’d also had, at another meal, “cottage fried” potatoes…. I couldn’t see any similarity.

My father had a simple answer for questions like that.

What happens in the cottage, stays in the cottage.

Well, cottage cheese does seem kind of rustic…as if it’s not quite finished being made. Maybe thatwill answer Claude (although it won’t help Cleo’s opinion of him).

A bit of speculation on the subject of cottage cheese. Perhaps the “cheese” designation is because it’s made from milk. And “cottage” because it used to be largely a homemade product, for families with neither the time nor the expertise to make real cheese. Calling it “curds”, which is what it is, was regarded as unappetizing, so the geniuses in marketing coined the term cottage cheese. Pure spec, no actual knowledge whatsoever.

So, does this mean that Cleo knows what goes on in that cottage? Does it involve an evil cat and even more evil people who got rid of Cleo and will never fix Sherpa? Are they laughing while collecting an even bigger paycheck?

GoComics’ suits should be FORBIDDEN from entering Cleo’s cottage cheese cabin.

Cleo sure hit the nail on the head. We don’t want to know what goes on in that cottage!
