I don’t know what it is about modern office staplers. They always go bad so quickly. I have a very basic Bostich stapler from the 1970s that has never missed after thousands of staples. Why is it so hard to make a good stapler now days?
I have an Acme No.2 (made about a century ago) that works fine. It can even staple a folded 11×17 booklet. The problem is that they no longer make staples to fit it. Planned (or unplanned) obsolescence breaks budgets.
I keep an electric stapler and electric pencil sharpener in my home office- as a long time designer/drafter I got used to those luxuries. I love to have all my pencils perfectly sharp (I wind up with so many “automatic” pencils that fail and have to toss them. I use many #2s for sketching things.
Mostly all of my kitchen gadgets are RED however. The mixer was a long ago present from this same lover. Kitchenmaid mixers have always been the best and I now have their toaster and much more.

Why couldn’t green tie have used a paper clip? Hope those weren’t in the budget.

I heard Swingline didn’t make a red stapler in that model until after Office Space came out and people wanted one.
