I’m sick to death of the ads for the Quentin Tarantino flick eating up all my broadband.I’m not going to see it. Movies that are hyped all to crazy like this usually aren’t any good. I won’t even bother watching it when it comes on Starz.

Well…. he’s standing up, isn’t he?What else do they want?

Stew has been honing his craft for 6 months, ever since the KrabKakes and Kettlekorn Komedy Klub took over the old Salvation Army store location at 64th and Ballard, and started holding open mike night.

This was supposed to be a stepping stone to better gigs.

He painted the sign. He practiced his lines…. all starting with “But seriously, folks..”And then he said something serious. With a laugh. That’s some funny stuff, right there.Comedy…. er… Komedy GOLD, he says to himself. All free if you buy even just a small kettlecorn, or a slice of their iconic 24 Karrot Kake. Tough audience.

I’m too cheap to go Pro. I don’t mind the ads, as long as they’re not in motion to distract me. Enough with the Iron Fisting already.

Rista… that’s what I had…. some ads were gone, but most banners and sidebars remained…

Pro removed it all… and it’s 99 cents a month…without having to block scripts you might want to allow, or ever think about it.

I can’t afford cable or to subscribe to the newspaper, but I spend a lot of hours here.

Just happens to be worth it to me.

    Thank you Red….

I’m at the Tiki now…. see you there!

But I’m off to bed soon too… very early for me but I’m going away tomorrow.May not be posting till Sunday night unless something short from my phone….don’t know about computer access.

You know, this place is going to seem pretty quiet for a while…. Bev gone already, Stel and me both leaving tomorrow…I’ll be back Sunday, but away again for a few days later in the week. Not far, but at least not home.

I just know all you guys are gonna put your feet on the furniture and eat pizza for breakfast while I’m gone.

    S’ok though… I do that stuff myself.:)

Misery unto you oh unspoken expectations. Wretchedness and folly be your plight. Take off that muscle shirt, you’re scaring the dogs. Stew had won the Fall Fans of Frolic Talent Testimony, dedicated to Owen Warren, the original founding father of Fall Follies, who after eight years as a Ballard Street Steward, moved on to become the Lead Man at the Perry Como Pavilion. Stew having departed from the winning combinations of Shirley stories and innovative Jew’s harp melodies, decided to adlib, his most cryptic message, not a good decision.

I just don’t get it. Stew performed at a friend of mines house and he was very funny indeed! We loved the trick he did by pretending to fall over the chair we threw at him and tumbling down two flights of stairs. He was asked to come back. We haven’t heard…….

Yes, I think Pro is well worth it. And like Susan said, it is only 99 cents a month. Can’t beat that.

Again, I don’t really mind the ads, sometimes it’s something I’m interested in. The non-stop barrage of QT’s new movie on every blasted page is something I could do without. I liked Pulp Fiction, but the rest of his movies just drag on forever.

It’s 10:45am MDT, Sunday. I had a good time at the opera last night. I saw Il Trovatore, famous for the Anvil Chorus. Jennifer Check sang the role of Leonora. She was a lot less zapftig than she was a few years ago when I saw her in Verdi’s Requiem.

I’m feeling a little white trashy tonight so I think I’ll have a 24-oz PBR, which I shall drink straight out of the can.
