Our GPS led us on a dirt road full of huge rain-filled potholes that ended in a dead end. Another time it led us to a dirt path in someone’s backyard. Oh, the adventures. (Never over a waterfall, thank heavens.)
SCA events where others do actual camping and I search for lodgings are often actually in very out of the way places around mountainsides and so far out I wonder if I will ever arrive. The GPS usually finds them although I am usually in doubt long before. I wish it could learn by the fact that I have some “Prefered” routes; I had to learn to unplug and turn off the power before arriving home from N of my home (such as the freeway) as it would rather take me down a sidestreet which has speedbumps than my normal (more direct) route. And she sounds SO annoyed when she says “recalculating”
I cannot be bothered with either Pintrest or Tweets. I have 2 comics sites and FB (and within the latter have a “group” of birdwatchers as well as local SCA friends and also some family (I try not to include distant cousins who I will never meet). I like to keep it simple.
SCA??I looked it up on Wikipedia. Are any of these applicable?

Yes, yes, yes, the internet. But there are wondrous and vast, unknown, often empty highways and byways I like to wander aimlessly in my mind.
