Why is Camilla wearing the Heene family balloon on her head? Not that it doesn’t look fetching….

Because Camilla, like language, is a virus from Outer Space.

QE2’s Queen Mum lived to over 100, so Da Queen has a good shot at outliving His Royal Twitness Charles. Anything to keep him off the throne. A side benefit is there won’t be a Queen Camilla, tho I suspect that’s already taken care of in the Royal Pre-nup.

On the other hand, I do think the world ought to be a bit kinder to the poor old frump. That’s Camilla I mean, not U-No-Hoo. Not that the world shouldn’t be kind to Queen E., because she’s done a pretty good job running the family business.

(I must be getting old. I actually remember when George VI died and she was crowned. The same decade Bannister broke the 4-minute mile and Hillary climbed Everest. It would have been a good decade for the Empire if it hadn’t been its last.)

Hey, Pab! Just placed an order. When you ask why you became a cartoonist, you answered why I went into Federal Service. I just ain’t got the balls you got.

    Hang in there.

Considering that Queen Vic’s reign was 1837(?)-1901, so her great great grandfather would be George I. the elector of hanover who became king when queen anne died childless. Camilla was born in 1947 and her father was a British major and her mother an honorable. So I can’t figure out how, irl, Camilla’s great grand-mother’s life could have over lapped that of George I, much less in any sexual sense. But then I’m doing this from memory. Anyone who actually said such a thing to Queen Vic would shortly have found new lodging in Iceland, I imagine, or that mud flat known later as Hong Kong. That’s how it ties to the second panel. NOW I get it.

Leave her alone, I’m glad Chuck married for love. The first one was just fairy tale PR.

I remember when Berkley Breathed did his “Bloom County” arc on Chuck and Di soon after they were married. It was clear in the strip that Di was married to be a breeder. “Two whelps,” he ordered.

How ironic. Fortunately, Camilla was not in the strip.

That was something Camilla said to Charles when she met him. Camilla’s gr-grandmother was one of Edward VII’s (Vicky’s son!) mistresses. I forget which one.
