Well, it’s not often you see Lincoln Perry mentioned in the comics.
Then why was Al Jolson singing the theme? [jk jk]
What was Jolie singing? “Blue guys, smiling at me, nothing but blue guys, do I see”?
Or perhaps it was “Climb up on my knee, Sully boy”…
A lot of other cartoonists would have been content to just type in a lot of gibberish in the place of the alien tongue.
But then, not every cartoonist has access to the “Wingdings” font.
Yes, just a bit more time on my hands than I’m comfortable to admit.
Yes, I did create dialogue for the aliens. Please do not translate it here.
I didn’t see any tambourines.
I must translate the last two alien word ballons, though:
panel 3: “it doesn’t matter what his intention was, it’s our perception of said intention that matters”
panel 4 “prepare to die, earth scum”
Genius. Simply Genius.
When will the media’s stereotyping of aliens cease?
At least the Aliens & Right wingers have something in common both hating Avatar
Hey nighthawks. Good to see that quote from Spaced Invaders. I always loved that movie, especially the Jack Nicholson sound-alike.
If it’s going to be compared Al Jolson, it should be called “The Blues Singer”.
Working on next week’s strips now. Here’s a little taste: http://bit.ly/8r83ki
Wouldn’t think of it! Translating was even more fun than reading the strip,so why deprive others by spoiling it?
But then, Joseph Rochefort is one of my heroes, and I enjoy doing those cryptogram puzzles in the paper.
Oh, Hell. Someone else did.
But an “extraterrestrial minstral show…” kind of a new meaning to, “blue in the face.”
