My girlfriends and I loved loved loved “It’s Complicated.” I’m e-mailing this today!
reminds me of the “peanuts” where Peppermint Patty wants to be in the “gifted” program at school so she can get presents.

Nooooooooo, I’d say this is more in the mode of Bob Thaves than Pastis.
Comicsexpert almost 15 years ago
I’d say more Pastis than Thaves. Pastis has the elaborate multi-panel setups and then the forced but clever pun.
While Thaves mastered a single panel and what I’ve named “the call & response” pun.
Frank: Question or statement. (or call) Earnest. Pun-based question or response.
Both are great. So let’s love them both. WHy not?

Mamma Mia! Laura should have known something was wrong when Adam let out A Cry In The Dark. There would have been no Doubt.
On second thought, maybe it’s just Heartburn…

Late to the strip today, due to errands and a lunch with friends, but it was worth delay. Huzzah! I’ve liked Meryl Streep since “The Deer Hunter.”

The first panel is like something out of a Bergman film.
