    Earl’s getting a little dingy from hearing Opal’s ding-a-ling.

Reminds me of my SIL and her family. They will sit there and wonder aloud who’s calling until the ringing stops. You can say, “Hey, the phone’s ringing” and hear “Yeah…” but no one picks it up. Then they wonder who it was.

caller id (put in as scum-filter) is blank, blocked or unavailable. my wife picks it up anyway because “it might be family”. what???? now their telemarketing computer has a live hit on a number, and they drive us nuts for the next 5 years, and she complains because they keep calling…and Do Not Call list is a joke.

I have a land line and an answering machine. Family knows they better say something if they want to talk to me – otherwise I don’t pick up the phone. I am on the Do-not-call list and still they call- I don’t pick up though.@Beviek -funny!

A dryer usually dings for a short time, if you have chosen to be warned before the drum stops turning, when the clothes will begin to wrinkle.

Yes, the DNC is ineffective; essentially so is the Fed complaint process.
