Actually, I was a Robin fan as a kid and did dress up as Robin without anyone as Batman

Good point. I once saw a photo of Brian Warner (aka “Marilyn Manson”) as a teen in a Rolling Stone article. Without all the makeup he has a Monty-ish appearance.

The last year before a daughter joined them, my 3 sons were Robin Hood, Little John and Friar Tuck (youngest boy was small and chubby). Following year was OZ with daughter as Dorothy, Woodman, scarecrow and lion in order for the sons- still have photos of that one.

My kids were born in 1960, 61, 62 and 64 so my vantage point differs from many.
