Smurfs are endangered. There’s only one female among them and she’s synthetic. I’m not sure if she can be bred. She hasn’t produced any offspring that I know of, and the males don’t seem to be sexually interested in her. They’re like blue pandas, except that pandas can be convinced to breed. Gargamel needs to find some other way to sustain a harvestable population. Or maybe he can look into culturing smurf meat.

Not so sure Smurfs are the best role models for our kids, either: Five guys, one girl, they’re all blue, figure it out.
