:-D LOLs! Oh my words! Baldo and Cruz make a wallpaper of low ride mural like a jigsaw puzzle on the wall in his bedroom. Sergio, relax! Let Baldo do anything he wants!
Carmy, what does “hijole!” mean? I could not get that word from www.freetranslation.com :-/
Wildmustang1262, it may not be a “proper” Spanish word. Many Latin American Spanish-speaking countries (I’ll use Argentina as an example due to having had colleages from there) have words and usages not found elsewhere.
In Argentina specifically, there is a word “jorobense” (one of my erstwhile Argentine colleagues had covered his book with an Argentine paper’s political-cartoon page, and the cartoon mentioned that word; I asked him about it, the other Argentine joined in, both told me it was a profanity only used in Argentina ).
carmy, is “hijole” a regional (country-specific) expression (see my explanation on “jorobense”)?
cford, you noticed the double-entendre right? the picture just happens to be printouts of computer (aka virtual) wallpapers and is used as physical wallpaper!
prasrinivara, we said Hijole all the time in South Texas so I guess it came from Mexico. I’m sure by now several states in the US are familar with the word. It is not a “bad” word. Hijo means “son” and le means “to.”

Wildmustang, Hijole is just a general expression of surprise, annoyance or exasperation like “yikes.” :)

Papi must subscribe to the same rules as my parents! According to them, since they paid the mortgage, my room was technically their room!

Oh, I assumed he meant COMPUTER wallpaper!

Beings that Papi probably paid for the house, and the room, I think he can get angry if he wants.
