If I had known that I’d have lived this long, I’d have taken better care of myself… but on the other hand… I wouldn’t have traded all the fun I’ve had in 67 years for anything ! Thank you, all my friends. .

As befitting my station in life ( HA ! ), I am going to retire for the night. When I return, DRINKS ARE ON ME at the Tiki Bar !

From yesterday…I couldn’t find pineapple Cheez Whiz on the web cos it’s called Kraft Cheese Spread …and it’s still around!

What I saw online was over $3.50 for a 5 oz jar!

That’s about $12 a pound — you could get some really good cheese for that.

I did love it when I was about 10…. but it was probably a lot cheaper, even for those times, or my Mom wouldn’t have bought it, in spite of the bonus of a “free” glass.

I don’t think I’ve tasted it since then.

Yeah. I don’t worry either. I’ve seen too many cycles and know that no one screws things up permanently. They don’t even manage to do anything like what they said they would do.

Oh I just love yo yo’s! Yoyo’s? YoYo’s? I used to have one. It was blue. My favorite color. I could make it go up….and then…get this…down and then back UP again really fast! Oh it was the bestest thing ever! Linguist, we need to get you one for your birthday. Everyone bring one to the party! I’ll see if my friend in the abandoned well wants one.

Been unexpectedly busy today…. and still gotta go cut somebody’s hair in a short while.

I wanted to stop in at the Tiki and lift a glass to the birthday boy…. who thinks he’s so old….

Funny cos I’m not old, and I’m almost there….Happy birthday, again, Linguist…and just wait till you’re really old.

On Saturday before I came back from Oakland I went to visit a good friend and ex-neighbor who is NINETY SIX.She’s allowed to say she’s old — not YOU!!

She’s tiny, fairly healthy, and has most of her mind, though she complains.Took her out for her favorite dinner….. which would be beyond my budget if what she craves most of all weren’t KFC!No one else will take her there cos it isn’t “healthy”…. but she’s 96 and weighs 103 pounds! I think she can have whatever she wants!

I knew Repoc knew the words. A beautiful powerful song.Sitting here looking at those two.Reminds me of my granddad and Uncle.The one with the can looks like granddad. (He was a North Carolina boy. Loved Moonshine)After a few moonshines.I was 6 he and Uncle gave me a cap full. Coke bottle cap. I remember this burning then looking at clouds and a blue sky. Those two were falling out laughing.I said whats so funny. They said trying to get you to keep your clothes on.I noticed mine were some what messed up. But I had no recollection about trying to take them off. I guess it was a Moonshine thing. For years everytime I would go stay the summer sometimes they would look at me and laugh.I’d laugh too. Great days those.
