At least she knew what money was. My hubby recently went to the store and handed when given the total (about $5) he held out a $20 bill. The cashier gave him an odd look and turned the credit card machine to him. It took a couple of minutes for him to convince her that he wanted to pay cash.
If you want to have some fun, when the total comes to $13.85, hand the cashier a $20 and after she enters the amount tendered, say, “Oh, here’s a nickel.” Usually you get a “deer in the headlights” look.
try a store that the electronics have just gone out……in this case the registers worked…me and a couple other older folks “tought” the cashiers how to count up.

This is a good one, guys. See, it works both ways–how do we know what the cashier gives us in return is real? We don’t have a “scanner.” LOL!
