that movie was funny. wiig and rudolph. melissa mccarthy was a rib hurting laugh riot. who knew snooki aka molly was that funny. office’s erin, don draper, damages girl, little britian, plus clementine. and the late great jill clayburgh, an unmarried woman who danced in her panties to swan lake .
Not as far as I know. Camcorders were still a little bulky to sneak into theaters back then, and existing cellphones didn’t have video capability, either. If there were any recordings made, someone in the audience was pretty sneaky or it was done by the theater or Astin himself for documentary purposes.
Mr Astin made a very good Poe, though, and it was a masterful performance. I had good seats, too – third row.

Poe is even considered to have written a very early science-fiction piece. “The Conversation Between Eiros and Charmion” (I believe that’s how it’s spelled…
