What a wonderful idea . . . you could even use an orange sheet and write upon it. Examples: Happy Autumn, Happy Halloween, or Happy Thanksgiving. You could step a bundle of hay under it.
WCLamb: Jibs’ls only have one sheet. For masts with square sails (which have four, thus three to the wind is a disaster), it’s fore, main, and mizzen. Four masters add a jigger abaft the mizzsen. The Larsen (the only seven-masted vessel – a schooner) just named theirs after the days of the week.

Is the scarecrow a matador, toreador, or bullfighter? If he’s all three, it could be “three sheets to the wind”!

@Puddleglum2Wrong kind of sheets.Try Main, Jib and Mizzen.(And it’s no way to sail!)

Rose sure does like that purple polka dot pattern. Doesn’t she also have a purple polka dot blouse?

All very nautical, but isn’t he a clothes dryer?

What a great smell they have then too! Nothing like line dried sheets!
