Why’s it called a “parkway” when you really can’t park there?
So why are they called circulars and flyers?
“Circulars” because you circulate them. Or more likely, stick ’em in the circular file. Not sure on “flyers” – maybe also because the “fly” around to everyone?
And why are they called groaners when it’s the listeners who do the groaning?
So, does “junk mail” get delivered on an ancient Chinese boat?
