Gee, I thought he was getting a C-minus because he: a) hardly opens the book b)doesn’t write the assigned homework down c) doesn’t DO the homework b)won’t study for any of the tests d)is generally oblivious to any lesson at hand in the class……..and so on etc, etc,etc.

The best teachers I had in secondary school had some type of social problem. drunks, cripples or both, were able to teach in spite of their “problems”I think they taught because their problems held them back in the “real” world. They knew the material(which many lifetime teachers did not).

I still say Galvin would’ve fit right into “Thimble Theatre” (the late great Elzie Segar comic strip that launched Popeye the Sailor). Galvin could’ve been a landlord, or the tax collector, or an attorney, or or, oooooooooooor: The justice of the peace!!Oh yeah, most likely the undertaker,,,,,,riiiiiiight!!!

Hey a c minus is like average, and that is what I had in science for most of third quarter. But I brought it to a b minus, and got honor roll fourth quarter. Kinda puts a meaning to the phrase to keep trying .
