Atlas moths. That is messed up. I had to check that out. They starve to death after about 2 weeks living only long enough to mate and lay eggs. Never though I would feel sorry for a moth but I do now

Whoa, David, somewhere, somehow, somebody’s gotta eat something….wait….maybe in the larva stage they gobble enough to tide the adult over until it can mate.
