Max: THANK you. Phoebe: C'mon. I have enought candy that I can share. Max: People who DO get it think it's funny to give me apples. Phoebe: SOMEbody ate all MY apples already. Marigold: What is this about someone back there having more apples?

I’m starting to love Phoebe. Panel 5 is so gracious.

I see Phoebe had to break out the sack for all that candy. Thanks, dragon!

Steve Jobs and Death? Um.. Yeah..
Still, probably the sweetest strip so far! The real spirit… And fun!

Unicorns, like horses, have lots of nose, and can smell an apple, or a carrot or a cookie, from a great distance, and know if you have even held one a day ago. Some guy in Colorado even trained his horse to track people by scent like a blood hound.

Awwwww, How sweet of Phoebe and how sweet of Max to wear a costume in honor of the great man who gave us the IPhones.

Considering she was up to her waist in candy earlier in the evening, yes, I’d say she has enough to share!

Max should have posted an appropriate graphic on his ipad to help the clueless get a clue.

My question is why didn’t Phoebe beat him silly with the blunt end of that scythe for dressing as Steve Jobs?

Does the shield of boringness protect from Max realizing he’s riding a unicorn?

Love how Marigold is carrying Phoebe’s jack-o-lantern pail on her horn. : D

This is sweet. I know Phoebe and Max are still young (grade-school age) and true romantic feelings for the opposite gender are still a ways off for them, but they are certainly good friends. Phoebe is a kind-hearted soul…you have to be if your have a unicorn as your best friend.

That was perhaps the most perfect sequence of events so many great things happened in just that moment.

Wozniak was the genius in the garage. Jobs helped. No obit on Wizard of Woz so no idea what he looks like. I’ve got a pretty good idea neither of them wore black T necks during the real launching stages..I doubt anyone on this page knows Philo Farnsworth’s name, or invention, much less what he looked like.

always nice to have a ride home

No, Farnsworth was the /main/ inventor of TV as we knew it in the last century. Modern television uses entirely different technology, from the camera to the receiver.
And Wozniak was the man who designed and built the Apple I and the Apple II. It was Jobs who conceived of nearly every Apple product from 1998 on.

Max paid close attention to detail. For instance, those aren’t his usual glasses that he’s wearing as part of his costume.

Can’t there ever be a time when two people of opposite gender can be seen as friends rather than just being someone’s imagined romance? Come on people. Just because Phoebe reaches how to people like her friend Max doesn’t mean there’s automatically something going on. I mean, really, they’re only like 10 years old. (The reason I say is because of that reason, I’m afraid of loosing my friendship with a girl if people think something’s automatically going on between us.) Enough of my rant, I love this strip!

Jobs very busy between 1976 and 1998, selling ideas. Giving substance to the airy nothing is the dreamer’s . .We are very close to Ozma’s magic picture. Pushing my mind to remember who 1st thought that a canvas framed in a private home would instantly show anything in the world upon a voice command. Many legends…many dreamers.
bopard about 12 years ago
ps. I’m glad Jobs sold his VW to finance the dream.

1. Beginning of a sweet friendship. And possibly more.2. Have to do a little correction though. It should be “Somepony ate all my apples already.”.:-)
