For an old gal, Lois still has a lotta git-along in her come-alongā¦..if you know what I meanā¦I think weāve seen her in all manner of exuberant, perhaps even daredevil pursuitsā¦
Admired but not followed into action by her reluctant spouse.
I love Lego peopleā¦in fact, I love Legosā¦. have to keep mine buried away so I donāt play with them.
Theyāre all old onesā¦. collected years ago from garage sales, etc.
I donāt have any of the fancy new stuffā¦ the realistic windows and parapets and car parts and space stuff ā¦Just mostly bricks and a few of the first simple wheelsā¦
But I do have some Lego people, some from thrift shopsā¦ or I bought myself one of the little holiday stocking stuffers on clearance. I used to amaze my nephew by assembling the simple ones without opening the bag!LOLHey, we all need a hobby!
Bev ā Iām confused about the timingā¦. If you just went back now ā¦. yeah, I posted the chicks about 10:30 last night and then realised everybody would have moved on by thenā¦
Anywayā¦. I doesnāt matter, as long as you saw them.As I said, I get the feeling theyāre those little chenille pipe-cleaner-ish things that were always attached to Easter baskets in our childhoodā¦you cab still buy them but more parts are plastic now, of courseā¦.Some have a wire at the bottom that could easily be twisted into the poodleās fur.
Pg Tips is indeed English teaā¦ not the fanciest, but good plain everyday tea that most of my British friends prefer, and so do I.Makes Lipton taste likeā¦well, I wonāt say.
I started drinking it many years agoā¦the woman I consider my closest girlfriend is Englishā¦and her sister and in-laws used to send her care packages full of tea.
Iām spoiled now, and usually search it out.Nowdays you can find it at Cost Plus and even in some supermarkets. At about $4 for 40 bags itās a pretty small luxury.
We didnāt have all this imported tea back in the dayā¦the best I could do was Red Roseā¦ though the US version was pretty awful.
And yeah, I did also go with an English guy, from the mid 90ās till a few years agoā¦ but that was a coincidence. And he drank PG Tips tooā¦ he was happy when I told him he could buy it in the US.
Gotta go outā¦ Iāll be backā¦keep the rest of that banana breadā¦. I made a lot for the Tiki tooā¦ and for my house, cos I never know when the Monkey will stop byā¦. he needs a lot of foot rubsā¦. and Iāve never seen anybody go through banana bread like he can.
Itās OK, thoughā¦. heās very good to meā¦and I always buy so many bananas, between shopping for myself and helping bring in daiquiri ingredients for the bar, I usually have loads of overripe ones.
Bevā¦ do you mean the pom pom on his tail, for the egg?
I dunnoā¦. that haircut is just SO weird itās hard to say what part is weirder than the rest.
I think that basically, they were wishing the rooster could look like this:
But they had half a poodle left overā¦ and they didnāt know what to do with it.
AS for acetoneā¦. I do not like it.I donāt think itās all that safe to breathe, nor do I like acrylic nails, nail glue, gel polishesā¦. or even powdered hair bleach, all for safety reasons. But what do I knowā¦ millions of people use them.My clients know, though, that I wonāt do any of them, or work in a place that does tips, because I get respiratory effects. And about Legosā¦you at least have an excuseā¦I have no kidsā¦so my Legos are MINE.MINE, I tell you.
Ok, this should probably be a blog, but I dont have oneā¦I followed a couple of links today on YouTubeā¦I shouldnt haveā¦Once I hit Indian Outlaw by Tim McGraw, it followed that Jonn Andersonās Seminole Wind should followā¦it made me think of my ancestorsā¦I am 1/4 Comanche and 3/4 English, Irish and Welshā¦and totally Jewishā¦does that make me a Heinz 57? ā¦ More than likelyā¦.but my native heritage sometimes draws me, drags me, makes me listen to an inner voiceā¦stop reading if you dont want to hear this, but seriously folks, save our heritageā¦its not just mine, its yours, it ours, its Americaāsā¦save the wetlands, save the keys, save the swamps, save the mustangs and the burrosā¦save Americaā¦and listen and hear the voice behind itā¦http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8sh9P3X33w
23:08 MST,Nov 17Waiting for the switch. On a train home from the symphony. They played Mozartās 41st Symphony(K.551), the Adagio from Mahlerās 10th (unfinished) Symphony, and Korngoldās Violin Concerto. Hilary Hahn was the soloist. She played two encores. It was great. If Ms Hahn plays in your neck of the woods be sure to go.
Guess Iāll straighten up the kitchen a bit and go on homeā¦ well, to the salonā¦
I like to stay over whenever I can on Saturday nights, what with the 67 not running on Sundays.
Fenton! Closing the kitchen for awhileā¦left some banana bread on the counter and a couple of yak sandwiches in the back bar fridgeā¦.need anything else?

Bev ā thereās a lot of sliced yak in the fridgeā¦Make yourself another sandwich if you likeā¦the Monkey wonāt care, cos I cooked a giant piece for him and the Tiki while he was busy on a gig.
We just need to leave him a couple of dinners, and by then heāll probably fire up the smoker for ribs.Do go read the Crustwood Gazette if you can.

Goshā¦itās raining turkeys in Crestwoodā¦a mass killing in Legolandā¦theyāre still stuck in Election Day mode over at Citizen Dog and tempers are flairingā¦Poncho and the gang at Pooch Cafe are scheming to keep dogs legal in their townā¦.I hope we can count on the Sheriff and his deputies to keep us safe here on Ballard St.!
