Mixed feelings here. M3 is back but it’s 2010 vintage. I get the feeling this cartoonist is getting close to retiring. That’s such a shame.

Canadians should not take offense at most North Americans celebrating Thanksgiving in Nov. After all, there are 50 states in our United States, many of which have higher populations than all of Canada.So, can’t we all just get along?

I agree with the other commenters. I’m not complaining here about it being a rerun. And I love seeing Mac again. All of us need a break. And a strip such as this takes creativity and it can’t just be produced well day after day without a break here and there. And yes, I hope this strip continues for a long time. I can’t handle even a thought of it ever ending after just having Cul de Sac end (but, enjoying seeing it again from the beginning!).

I’ve just noted that in the past year, we’ve had a lot of repeats. I’m just sad there is not more new strips. Maybe he has a helath issue which prevents him from working more than he does.
As for Christmas shopping, our ads are shouting out Black Friday. Sigh. The real significance of Christmas has to fight for survival.
And for Thanksgiving we travelled to my friends’ place, worked together in her kitchen to make an awesome dinner to which my two boys were invited. I think Canada celebrates the day early because our winter comes earlier.

I read the comments on certain strips everyday. Sometimes the comments are better than the toon.
Suzanne I have to say that it does seems like there has been many reruns over the last few months. Darby does seem to do more reruns than the average toon. I wish all of them do what Doonesbury does with the “flashback” announcement. I understand the reason for his is due to how topical his strip is.
On another note let’s not forget that Satchel is half-Canadian!
