Okay, try this, in the suburban spirit of the strip here: Santa relocates his operations to Antarctica. Lots more ice, solid gorund underneath most of it, the odd active volcano for heat. And best of all, he has outsourced his entire operation to another continent, just like any major American corporation. Now what could possible be more Christmasy than this scenario? The floating ipads are saved. The polar bears go with him, and best of all, winter becomes summer during the busy season.

Christmas is actually an 8-day feast, also, running from December 25 (Solemnity of the Nativity) to January 1 (Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God). The Christmas Season extends beyond the actual Christmas feast, with the “twelfth day” of Christmas being followed by the Feast of the Epiphany (traditionally January 6), which used to be the big celebration and gift-giving day in the Western Church.

Wait, if that’s the first night, then not all the candles should be lit.

Wow, I’d always heard that it was around July/August from Biblical clues, but that makes perfect sense.
