He hasn’t done a fat-broad-and-snake joke in so long I suspect some readers may not know about their longstanding relationship.

I didn’t think snakes had bones.

They have backbones and ribs (lots of ribs) and vestigial pelvic/hip bones … probably some variance among the species, but they have bones.

He’ll look odd in a cast, that’s for sure.

So…if the snake has hip bones would he ever ask…do I look fat in this cast?
