    Not at all uncommon for us with hearing issues. Even with captions can not get the punch line of Leno’s jokes when he drops his voice at the end of each joke, and the caption fades. Voice mimics and jokes are no different.

    In “Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python,” the ranting soldier accused the signers of coming out at night and lying to the deaf. Then he spoke rapidly to give them a punishing challenge. That’s one way of drawing the hearing audience’s attention.
