I canât understand why everyone but Fritzi is drawn like a cartoon character. Would Fritzi really be attracted to a guy whoâs head looks like a helium filled balloon?⊠and if they havenât spoken in 20 years, how did he know she adopted Nancy?

a dinner chain in the west coast of the U.S. has a C.D. juke box in every restaurant, filled with oldies. its free to chose your favorites.

I bought a 78 rpm Wurlitzer (used) in 1957 for $10. Salvaged the amplifier (pair of 6L6s) and used it to modulate an amateur transmitter, back when AM was still used on the amateur bands.Too bad the rest was scrapped, those parts would be worth a mint today.Could also put the speaker (14") outdoors and be heard for more than a mile away. (Lived in the country)

The next step in juke boxes were those that played 45s, the CDs, and I guess storage cards today. They just are not as popular as they used to be.

Not everyone liked to listed to other peopleâs music when eating, so someone came out with a record of ânothingâ, ie a record with nothing recorded on it. It was so popular that it was selected so often that it became noisy and had to be replaced!

Anyone else note a slight resemblance to one of the Katzenjammer kids?

Methinks the Gilchrist brothers are living their lives vicariously through Phil

For those wondering about the âtime warp,â check out the early history of Fritzi (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritzi_Ritz for example). Characters need not age at all (witness the Katzenjammer Kids). If they do age, it is in cartoon time or, more accurately, cartoonist time.As for Philâs looks, Guy has kept him pretty much as Ernie drew him.
