Even after looking Canine Parvovirus up, I still don’t get it.

Everybody knows Pluto is a dog… Wus it safe to say that he wasn’t “effin’ Goofy”….? There ya go… Clear as mud…

Is that Harpo and Chico in the background? No; Chico wasn’t blond.

Why is his species a mystery? Seems clear its supposed to be wiener dog.

Of course Goofy is a dog…. (though AFAIK not a “weiner” dog cos he’s way too tall.Some sort of hound.)

And he’s a big star, too…. but Pluto is no longer a little planet.

I guess it was a mystery as to whether Goofy was really a dog because unlike Pluto, he does not act like a dog. Having Parvo, however, eliminates doubt.

Dogs, cows, ducks & mice etc. – all the same size.

I can’t understand why any of this didn’t scare kids….

A lot of people have always thought he was a cow. If you watch the original cartoon “Steamboat Willie” I think it was called, he is wearing a yoke around his neck. Almost makes no sense that he is a dog and so is Pluto. I think he just morfed into a dog over time.

Goofy is the most clothed cartoon character in history……is he really the missing link? Did Walt dabble whilst drawing him?

I’d always been convinced Goofy was a wolf.

What’s he laughing at? The doctor with blonde hair and glasses.

why is there a “pay-off” in the background? I don’t get it.

So is Goofy a dog, cat, pig, mink, or one of the numerous other species that contract one of the equally numerous varieties of parvovirus?

I haven’t seen it in a while, but wasn’t that Horace Horsecollar in Steamboat Willie, not Goofy? (They do look a fair bit alike.)

With regard to the comment about “Steamboat Willie”, I always thought that character was called “Horace Horsecollar”. — Why do we remember such useless trivia but forget important stuff?

Hilburn’s attorney is on the phone as we speak with a whole team of Disney lawyers. He goofed up.

Well just to blow a hole in the “he’s a dog because he has parvo”. Lots of other species can get parvo as well.

Canine parvo can be found in dogs, wolves, coyotes, foxes and cats.

There’s a human version of parvo

Mice, pigs and mink all have their own strains.

In the “Goofy Success Story” they give his real name as Dippy Dawg.
