Where do you think the sludge from treatment plants goes, down the toilet? The Milwaukee WWTP markets a fertilizer called Milorginite, people have put it on their lawns and had tomato plants start growing.
I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be “oh great god of fertilizer …er, fertility.” Might have also worked better with the cow not running by till the second panel.

It’s not that hard – the guy apparently mis-read the plaque identifying which god he was visiting. He probably saw FERT and stopped reading.
