My New Years Resolution? Read Non Sequitur every day! And, OK, yeah, make snarky comments…

Danae’s idea of “resolutions” is the same as the Tea Party’s idea of “compromise.”I like the eagerness of the TP to throw the country off the “fiscal cliff.” (And I’ll be thinking of them every time I have to pay $8 for a gallon of milk. Oh, yes, and on election day too.)

Seriously, as long as I can do this life is good. Not trying to be heavy here, but to anybody reading this, just enjoy the peace you have now, if indeed you have it. If you don’t have it, run like the wind….

Reminds me of the time my Mother-In-Law made a New Year’s Resolution for my wife. Only brain damaged people or people with so little in their life would have the time to want to change other people when they have so much wrong and lacking in their own life.

I don’t have any New Year’s Resolutions for this year, but I have one for 2016: I (and my group) won’t vote for that jerk Biden!

Mr. Lyons huddles in his basement drinking rat stew,next to a dying fire, trying to keep warm in this ruined nation. Fortunately, he still has his laptop. And his cult….er, group. I resolve to mock them thoroughly if they can’t find anybody but a cult believer to sell us next time.

To close with a compliment to Wiley. You have officially taken over first place for me and replaced “far side”. Keep up the great artwork and commentaries. Your perspective is refreshing and obviously you stimulate some serious deep thought for some here. Congratulations and all the best for the new year!

Waaaaaay past time for Daddy to grow a couple and paddle her butt a nice pretty pink for talking that way to him! Certainly would-a worked that way in our house when I was growing up!

I wonder what Danae’s face will look like if/ when she learns New Year’s Resolutions are about what she resolves to do. That’s why I aim low: change nothing, do nothing, don’t even pretend to care. It makes life easier to take.

Seriously? This is news to some people? Of course corps are taking over. It’s also old news. They figured out ways around monopoly laws back in the Eighties. It’s called “conglomeration.” And “lobbying,” a nice word for buying off politicos so they won’t rock the boat. When we are regularly literally plugging our brains into computers for virtual bread and circuses, then I’ll know cyberpunk isn’t just a subculture but a warning.

I resolve not to make snarky comments about stupid people. Dang…

I once [literally once] went out with a woman who ask me detailed questions about my views on relationship and marriage. Apparently my answers were insufficient so she sent me a long questionnaire to fill out. I did not of course. This strip reminds me of what she must have been like as a child.
