LOL….The apple didn’t fall as far from the tree as some of you would like to think….especially those who don’t recognise the streak of whimsey in Grandma.

She’s practical cos she has to be… and her humor is so sarcastic some readers take it for cruelty…. but I love the twinkle in her eye.

She understands Agnes… and I think sometimes when she squelches her granddaughter’s flights of fancy, it’s because she herself was Agnes, long ago…and she knows where daydreaming leads.

Yeah, I remember. It was a marvelous arc; complete with the kind, though rather uncouth, rural innkeeper. Still remember it being the seventh day of the Novena for Granny’s truck’s steering linkage. At least that didn’t break down.

I love mild winters, no one almost slamming into me with their car makes me feel all warm and gooey inside.

It snowed in Ohio on the 21st and my world almost ended when someone almost slid into me.

Merry Christmas to everyone. Drive safe out there because the other drivers are too busy just driving.

“Looks like it will be one of those “mild” winters that I so detest.”-If you truly detest those mild winters, you can always go “Way up north, north to Alaska” as Johnny Horton would sing.-Failing that, the low in Pensacola today was 62. I’m still shivering but I toughed it out.
