Caulfield: Everybody's wearing their new Christmas stuff. Including, believe it or not, me. Frazz: I'm not used to seeing you in such a conformist mode. Though I am used to seeing you in these clothes. Caulfield: There's an upside to getting all socks and underpants.

T-shirt and flannel shirt. That’s been my uniform for over forty years now……nothing else is more comfortable…

And very practical…..Too hot? Roll up the sleeves or take the flannel shirt off. Too cold? Button it up.

Actually, Caulfield’s wearing pretty much what I wore during my last two years of high school in Oregon.

I used to “borrow” my dad’s white t-shirt and flannel when I was a middle school girl. We thought it very chic. lol And very comfy!

T-shirts, flannel shirts, jeans, boots, and a knife in a beaded sheath on my belt was my uniform during the years I lived in a little cabin in the foothills outside Denver (mid-1970s). The knife was for cutting up apples or (more often) skinning out roadkilled animals for feathers, quills, and other parts to be used in making wearable art pieces. Now that I live downtown, I still wear jeans and t-shirts while working at home, but the boots have given way to girl shoes, the t-shirts have more style, and they usually have something not-plaid over them. Still have a couple of those good ol’ flannels, though. And nobody owns a raincoat here ’cause it never rains!

Cooler days: cords, turtleneck, and long-sleeve tee-shirt. Warmer days: twill pants (length varies with weather), polo shirt or tee-shirt, with long-sleeve tee-shirt for cool mornings & evenings. All are comfy.

A quick example of the practicality of the flannel shirt/T-shirt combo…..88 degrees outside and humid? Go into a restaurant? Air conditioning on high and 62 degrees….
