Alice: Our class guinea pig is so cute! What's your name, guinea pig? Mr. Danders: Danders. Mr. Danders, though it might well be Dr. Danders. Mr. Danders: If ever anyone earned an honorary doctorate, it would be me. Mr. Danders: For I've spent my life here, in the groves of academe breathing the tangy scent of play-doh, the humid reek of the coat cubbies. Attending to the soft scratch of crayon on paper, the lulling drone of story time. Mr. Danders: With the knowledge I've gleaned, I could've excelled in many fields. Mr. Danders: But no! My duties lie here! Generations of Blisshaven Preschool students have looked to me, fitful Danders, for a hearty, "gweep" of encouragement when leaving palls and their weary heads nod! Alice: That gweep noise was you? I though it was Miss Bliss' stomach. Mr. Danders: Alas! Do all my efforts go unrecognized?

I had guinea pigs as an early grade schooler, over 30 years ago. I well remember those happy “GWEEP!”s.
