Transcript:
Reduce, reuse and recycle- my resolution for the new year! That's a great resolution! I like how you condensed three things into one. That's the reduce part! Smart! Think you'll be able to keep this resolution? I should, all I have to do is recycle it and use it as my resolution again for the next new year.

Ummm……. don’t remember being real concerned about recycling in the 60s. Think THAT started in the 70s. although, maybe R&R is in the 70s by now.

I never heard of recycling until the late 80s. Before that, we had these things called “dumps” that took EVERYTHING!

Remember the forlorn barge of (I think New York) garbage that wondered around the East cost for a while because no one would accept it.? Sure enough… here is a link http://greenopolis.com/goblog/ruthie-b/remember-garbage-barge-no-one-wanted-0 Web searching is so cool!

I love Red’s arm resting on Rover’s head in panel 1. Rover is perfectly fine with it.
