I actually remember those little coat-and-hat sets, but we wore ours to church in winter, not to jump rope in spring. I had one in pink with black velvet braid trim, my I felt chick.
World War I Flying Aces did not take off from bases in England to go into combat unless the combat was against Zeppelins. Range was too short. They flew from fields (that usually were just fields) in France.
Charlie Brown must share Snoopy’s fantasies too. These are the years when Snoopy and the Red Baron was real popular. Songs on the radio were devoted to him. The songs were sung and recorded by the Royal Guardsman. You can see them on Youtube.

Just if they’re training for a fight.

Did Schulz often violate the boundary line of the box to fit more dialog bubble in (per the last panel)? It seems unusual for him.

A jump rope as a barb wire fence and Snoopy joins in! If Lucy was there with Snoopy it would have been DOUBLE DUTCH style!

Charlie Brown has an uncanny knowledge of Snoopy’s mind.

Yesterday Violet and now her and Patty (non-Peppermint version). I love when I see some of the older, lesser-known characters make a reappearance.

This reminds me of what the Sunday comics used to be. Many panels, and a story line to boot.

Poor Snoopy, nobody told him you flew from French fields to fight the Red Baron.
