    Not really. NYS did a study over a year ago showing that the process is safe. However, Cuomo is on a kick lately to show how “progressive” he is, so he’s sat on it for a year. Meanwhile, Pennsylvania is enjoying a boom thanks to Ed Rendell’s foresight. Now he’s a real progressive.

    The contamination that has been detected is mostly actual gas leaking into the water, and not the chemicals used in the fracking process. It has been mostly dealt with as the technology has improved. It’s something that regulation and contract law can deal with.
