Free, fire, and kill were the only 4 letter words used by the NRA. Very disappointing.

Extremity is the road to absurdity.

I’m sure that when their NRA realizes absolute free speech is actually leading to needless deaths, they will see the wisdom of sane regulation. How could they do otherwise?
Brilliant comic btw.

There is a movie based on the concept of an alternate Earth exactly opposite us.

The NRA hasn’t represented gun owners for decades. It just represents arms manufacturers, whose only interest is selling as many weapons as possible.

If you’re wondering if I’m serious or this is satire— frankly so am I.

Ticks? The small minded, blood sucking inhabitants of the woods? We got a lotta guns out here too. Best life, EVER.
I feel sorry for the people that live in the city; too many rats a cage….

An incredibly ignorant comment

There is an old SF series of books called the “Gor” books that use the counter-earth theory; they’re quite good…

A good cartoon. The point is well made.

This just illustrates my efforts to enforce pun control. Where will it end? All puns are assault weapons. We do not have the right to harm bears, even bare. Even so, there are those who shoot from the lip, sometimes one word at a time, other times in sustained bursts of rhetoric, with no regard to where the words may land or what harm they might do. But, as Bolling says, “They can take my pun when they can pry it from my cold, dead mouth.”

Unfortunately many non-gun owners see the NRA as representing responsible gun owners, who are now being demonized and feared because of some of the extreme positions that the NRA takes.
I wish that mental health care availability to those who need it, was just as big an issue as gun control. After all, look at the shooters in probably every one of these recent incidents. I’m not sure how these people would be identified as needing help…most would certainly not seek it themselves. There’s also the issue of poor parenting.
We need to take a comprehensive look at what may work to stop this blatant disregard for human life.

There are no limits on free speech… just consequences if those actions cause problems. Shout Fire, it is your right… but your responsible if people are killed in the melee.
Same with the 2nd, no limits… just consequences if those rights are abused.
Shall we prohibit people from exercising their 1st Amend. rights? Regulate keyboards, register to post on the internet, etc.???

The problem with the analogy is that yelling “FIRE” in a crowded theater is actually legal, IF there is an actual fire. And if the guy really does wet the bed, it may not be a slanderous statement. All the laws in the world could never keep someone from yelling “FIRE” in a crowded theater. It would be illegal, but they would have the ability to do it.
Current gun control propositions would be the equivalent of removing someone’s larynx or tongue, thereby removing the ABILITY to ay “FIRE” in a crowded theater. The obvious problem with that is when there actually is a fire, no one can warn the rest of the theater.
Shooting someone with your concealed weapon may or may not be legal. Depends what is going on. It may be cold blooded murder, or it may be self defense. But carrying the weapon should be legal.

We would in fact be able to detect Counter-Earth.
