I met my husband at work, and dated another guy from work before him. Fortunately our small software company was casual and there were several couples at our company, so it was not totally frowned upon (I would say management tended to look the other way). It was also fortunate that both relationships ended up fine (yes, the first relationship ended, but not due to bad feelings. He moved away to be closer to where his ex-wife moved with his kids.) I know that my experience is an exception though…

I always avoided dating women from work because of sometimes too much proximity can be a bad thing plus my wife would never have allowed it.
