Folks have asked for facts on the Benghazi fiasco. Smoking gun facts are difficult to document and practically impossible so in Washington D.C. In D.C. everything is shaped and spun to maximize a favorable presentation and minimize the damage. Events in D.C. are not by happenstance or coincidence everything is orchestrated. Lie cheat and steal is the Washington culture and screw all that stuff about honesty and integrity. So I offer this as the closest to fact that I can indentify. So you are welcomed to your opinion but if you have some facts please throw them out there. 1. CIA intelligence knew in the first few hours Benghazi was not a stupid movie demonstration but a well planned 911 celebration to remind us the terrorist are still potent. This was documented in hearings with then CIA Director Petraeus.2. Conveniently Hill came down with a case of the diplomatic flu so she could not answer questions from the public or in senate hearings. The flu was not so bad as to require a hospital visit that would include pesky documentation of her condition. The major league cluster foul up and cover up would look bad during a presidential run in 2016. 3. Susan Rice was chosen by the Obama administration to answer the troublesome questions about Benghazi. In Obama’s own words he said Rice was the “least connected person” to the Benghazi fiasco. So that makes sense to send in the least qualified or knowledgeable person to defend the Benghazi fiasco. Right! After the session with McCain and Lindsey they were more convinced than ever there was a cover up being fed to the public. 4. Rice had four or five days to gather information and get this story right. But, behold she presented a completely different story to the Sunday talk shows than the CIA knew to be fact. And that’s a generous way to say it. 5. In the middle of the whole deal Rice was nominated as a replacement for Hill. In my opinion that was the same as staking out a pure little female lamb in lion country for the lions to ravage. Lions being mean old white male republicans. More of the administrations skullduggery to divide and create conflict in the country between black, white, male, female, old, young, democrats, republicans, rich and poor. And I have to give Obama credit he has done this with mastery. Divide and conquer has worked for 4000 years.

“Zipper sounds as if he at least recognizes literary problems when he sees them.”

First, he tells Jeff, “you got nothin’, dude.” Then he yells up through the floor at Joanie, “This stuff is great! Wow! Pure gold!”

Editor? Co-author? He hasn’t the chances of a snowman on the surface of the sun.

How do you know “smoking gun” assertions are facts before you document them? Nor have you provided documentation. Not a shred.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

OK, 10% may be opinion the remaining 90% is verifiable even in the liberal leaning Obama loving press. Suggest you start with the WSJ. If you have verifiable documentation that what I stated is incorrect please march it out there.

What author’s agent who “distracts the editor/publisher with lies” will ever even see the inside of a publishing house? Much less ever be hired?

Susan Rice was called upon to fill in for Hillary Clinton when she was making the statements on the talk shows because Hillary had fallen ill. So she did. No good deed goes unpunished. The histrionics which have followed on the GOP side have been amazing. Meanwhile, GT has not addressed the Benghazi situation. Why? Because there is not much to discuss. The prez did address it as best he could. Romney tried to make a big deal out of it and failed. Yes, it was an epic failure. Please proceed, Governor…The GOP still is chomping at the bit to try to make something out of it, but this continues to go nowhere, since it was a tragedy, but not something which the Obama administration could have foreseen. Were mistakes made? Sure, and I expect they will learn from them.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<Pardon me but when our politians cover up their responsibilty to benifit in the killing of four Americans I believe it is relevant. So you may move along to the next news headline as the politians hope you do.

“Get the first draft done, don’t worry about its literary quality. Then at least you have a draft to work with.”

Spot on! I suspect that’s what Joanie will say after she kicks Zipper out of the house and tells Jeff he has another chance to produce WORDS ON PAPER (or on disc, or in “the cloud”) before the “social contract” between them is terminated and she calls an eviction lawyer.

“To be precise [the burying of the head in the desert sand] is the ostrich of heraldry that does that. And it is a metaphor only.”

You are correct. As is the sandiegozoo.org link. Which correctly said it was a “myth”. Myths can never be false in the factual sense. Myths deal only in metaphysical or spiritual or moral sphere. If we didn’t have myths we couldn’t live successfully together in societies. Without them we would probably go extinct as a species.

Thank you for your sage observation, Night-Guant.

““Transparency” where are you when Barack Obama fails and needs to cover his tracks?”

You are welcome, of course, to your own personal unsupported assumptions. As long as you don’t turn into a troll (which you haven’t so far), welcome to respectful discussion!

BTW: Got any evidence? Any documentation? Any supported facts?

Here is an example of documentation. Which — being deliberately off-subject — is intended for purposes of demo only):

“Barack Obama has said that “Susan Rice had nothing to do with Benghazi”. ¶ She does since her Sunday Show performance.”

Whether or not Obama was speaking an untruth depends on what he meant. I think he meant: nothing to do with the mechanisms involved both on-the-ground in Libya and behind-closed-doors in DC.

This is opinion v. opinion. Anybody is welcome to her/his opinion. Opinions are like noses; everybody’s got one.

“Four Americans, including an ambassador, are dead. The Barack Obama administration is delaying investigation. ¶ Why?”

    • Four Americans are dead. Yes, this is a supported fact. Both sides stipulate.• “The Barack Obama administration is delaying investigation.” This is your personal opinion. So far it is supported neither by any stipulated fact, nor by any offered documentation, nor by evidence of any sort. You’re welcome to this opinion. But others — such as montesorriteacher — are just as welcome to differ.• “Why?” This is a question that arises from an unsupported opinion which in turn arises from a your assumptions which are generally shared by the right wing. Obviously, it can’t be answered without evidence / documentation / supported or stipulated fact.

What exactly was your basis for flagging T Bickel? It seems to me that he made a number of substantive statements. They are either true, not true (or some combination). If you disagree with them, enlighten the rest of us as to why. If you can’t explain why you find the statements objectionable, yet you don’t want T.B. to be allowed to state them — then you have a problem.

Well, well, I was wondering what happened to “GuardSgt.” Apparently he crashed and burned from the last election, and from his ashes arose "Travis Bickel and “calimesajim.” Dudes, don’t you know that no matter what you call yourselves, your style and rhetoric will always give you away? Your passion is admirable. What a shame your lack of education causes you to be caught up in the Fox trap.

    @Travis Bickel

So the lack of documentation as you see it makes Hillary “faking it” for you?-As of a concussion isn’t serious enough she had a blood clot in the area which they also treated. But since you consider everything in D.C. to be “orchestrated” then it means they actually do operate like a well

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Please try to keep up. The unfortunate blood clot thing didn’t happen until late December well after the 9-11-2012 and the senate hearings. There is no clear evidence the concusion and blood clot are related.

What I am looking for is some proof to the allegations and that is all it is so far. I don’t like malfeasance and I don’t like lies either.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Ok, do you believe it was a lie when CIA Director Petraeus testified the attack on Benghazi was not a demonstration gone array but a well planned terrorist attack and the CIA knew that fact within hours of the attack? Do you believe the administration didn’t know about the CIA evaluation of the attack five days after 9-11-2012 and unwittingly reported a different story to the Sunday yak shows ?

On the subject of Bickel trying to paint me with his brush. Please disregard. I have my own thoughts and will reveal them from time to time.>>On the subject of Guard Sarge, he has hijacked the Wizard of Id and BC. Tragedy that, I like to go elsewhere for some “lighten up”.>>On the birther issue. I couldn’t find the case of "Minor(Miner) vs the registrar per se. I could only find several interpretations. They all seem to hinge on the use of the word “parents”, plural. The only ones I could find were all written by right wingers. I found them all to be like the fundamentalist Baptists vs NIV Bible. “They took the BLOOD out of the Bible” and said Mary was a “maiden” and not a “virgin”. All in all the right is hanging on one word like the last thread in a rope. The Supreme Court in 1874 did not go further in their definition of a “Natural Born Citizen”. I am no lawyer but I think President Obama passed the test. Now can we go on to the real problems of the country?

As we all know, only “libs-progs-Dims” are partisans who won’t look at facts. True Americans know better and are always right about everything. And we are just lucky to have them tell us the truths we don’t want to hear.
