Wow, big spenders the Pennys. My nephew’s second job (weekends) is delivering pizza, and you would not believe how many people will totally stiff the drivers. So many people won’t give ’em a dime, bloody cheapskates! At least these Crustwood Creeps will give the guy a buck fifty!
Before you give Burl credit for tipping…. remember, he’s reconsidering.
I mean, if that guy’s gonna delay their pizza by driving on streets with too much traffic….should they reward that with a tip?
If they keep that dollar fifty, it’ll help them order their next pizza sooner. That’ll give the delivery guy another chance to learn his craft.
By now Burl is feeling like withholding a tip makes him practically a university benefactor…his reserved dollar fifty will help endow a permanent chair for the Department of Pizza.
BTW a fellow I went with delivered pizzas for a while.
Some people gave him no tips, but some gave him $20 on a $25 order.
He said people in poorer neighborhoods were generally the biggest tippers.
The other guys wanted to go to the supposedly safer upscale part of town…my boyfriend preferred the seedy part cos he made more money. It was especially true when people were drunk, or partying, so he took shifts no one else wanted, like New Year’s Eve, Christmas, and Superbowl Sunday. I hated it, though, cos I worried.
I would flip the box upside down and back up before she saw. Also based on the fact they are cheap tippers their would always be the last delivery on the run. I wouldpull off the little table and make sure the top of the box meets pizza
He probably knocked off a nickle for every min. it took to get the pizza there. That would be the last time for them to. I wonder if they went to get burgers before dinner like yesterday?
“Burl the Benevolent” is trying to justify eventually stiffing the guy for a tip. I’m sure that their reputation around town means that a lot of delivery people would like to stiff Burl, with something.
I notice the screen is still on and it apopears to be snowing. They are so insensitive talking in front of folks. I am surprised a $15.50 pizza is big enough for the two of them, I would think they would prefer a $25 stuffed style plus Bread sticks.
Wait, Burl wants to know how long it took to get there, BECAUSE the pizza is FREE if it took 30 min or longer. He is going to say it was 30 min since they ordered!. After all it took 15 minutes for him to list all the ingredients they wanted. Such a nincompoop!
