The last Oscar show that was notable for me was produced by Martin Ransohoff March 29th 1976, i just left the Army 3 days earlier, was staying at the Carolina Inn Hotel in Columbia, SC., Martin had great hosts that evening: Goldie Hawn, Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw, Gene Kelly, and George Segal.

The only Oscar I ever gave a hang about was Renee Zellweger’s for “Cold Mountain”, for her total lack of similiarity between Ruby Tew and Roxie Hart.
