Healthy is in the eye of the beholder.

Of course, so are [eye-rolls], but still.

    HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, Clan.

I’m allergic to apples. @ Susan Newman – have been meaning to ask you – are you a lawyer in NYC, by any chance?

Our stomach’s are bigger on the inside….which causes them to be bigger on the outside.

It’s true: you’d need to eat dozens of things each day to meet your recommended daily value requirements. That’s why I’ve never followed the food pyramid.

If you just pay attention to and be conscious of the calorie, fat and sugar content numbers of everything you eat and drink, you’d probably be just fine. I’m no longer doing the Slim Fast diet right now but I still try to carefully watch everything I consume. This morning I weighed in at 117 lbs. [which is pretty good because I’m only 5’, 3" tall and I started out the year weighing 128 lbs.] so I’m pretty proud of myself for not only losing that 11 lbs. but also because I’m managing to keep it off too . . . at least until Thanksgiving and Christmas roll around anyhow!!!!! ;-)

Cathy is right on this one. The supersizing is ridiculous. I’ve seen portions in restaurants that hang off the side of the plate and people think they should “eat it all.” I almost always split a meal with my husband and that has allowed me to stay at “my goal” at Weight Watchers for nearly 5 years. Ballet helps too.
