“Princess” Cathy… You’d have better luck ordering from some high-end…Classy…catalog! They can overnight ship, too, so you’ll be ready for that all-important (it is, isn’t it?!) date with Irving…without looking like a Disney reject… ;)

Actually, that’s another outfit that looks pretty good on Cathy — but I agree that it’s way too formal for the type of date that she and Irving are likely to go on, unless he’s taking her to the opera or the ballet!

Never in my life have I gone out especially to buy a new outfit for one occasion, except once for a funeral.
I wore the same outfit to my Mum’s 90th birthday dinner as I had worn to her 80th – and nobody complained!

I’m the same, Anona. I hate buying clothes. I do buy one new outfit and some accessories every year to get through Christmas/New Year’s, and then I’m done.

While Cathy’s hair in panel #4 reminds me a whole lot of Lucille Ball from her “I Love Lucy” days . . .
The overall look from head to toe reminds me a whole lot of Julia Roberts as The Queen in her movie “Mirror, Mirror” . . .
Hi, rgcviper!
Anona Mouse: I have — on a few occasions. My first prom . . . my wedding . . . both my high school class reunions [#10 & #20] . . . and for a couple of office Christmas parties in the past that took place at some very swanky and expensive restaurants. But it’s been almost 7 years now since I last had to do something like that and quite frankly, I’m extremely relieved, too, because I hate clothes — and shoe — shopping. If I simply must go shopping, I prefer it to be for books and cross stitch supplies!!!
;-)
Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today.

I love how Cathy’s hair always changes to meet the style of clothing she tries on. How does she do that?

I did have a one-off dress for my wedding, actually – it was so long ago that I’d forgotten! But Mum and I made it, so I don’t know if that counts.

My sister asks me when my little girl of 35 is going to get marry and have children. I told her marriage or having children was not an answer to life. A second generation of the women movement , my little girl seeks a value of what a woman should be. As her father, I am proud of what she has done and plans to do in the future.
