Hey, Irving! Cathy just gave up doing personal stuff just so she could go out with you! As the generations go by, the “giving-up” seems to become less and less important…makes one wonder what Their children will say they have to give up! Have a great Wednesday, all… ;)

I told my children love is not easy.We moved mountains for our love.I gave up dreams for her.She gave up her mother and family .We just had each other.Then our love added two gifts from GodThe years have passed,But Love was worth all we gave up.

Not entirely clear what Cathy’s dad ‘gave up’ – he seems to have a very comfortable existence.
Giving up independence for mutually beneficial co-dependence can be a win-win.

I gave up my independence for someone who buys the groceries (I hate grocery shopping), cooks most of the meals and gives me warm hugs when I need them. Yup – win-win for sure! (well – yes – there are a whole pile of other advantages as well!)
